REAL JOB / REVIEWABLE OUTPUT

Can a Scrum agent run project management?

A Scrum support agent can prepare backlog summaries, surface blockers and track sprint evidence, but it does not replace a human Product Owner, Scrum Master or Developers as defined in the Scrum Guide.

INPUT / LEAST PRIVILEGE

What this agent receives

Approved backlog items, issue metadata, sprint goals, repository status and meeting notes.

OUTPUT / EVIDENCE

What it hands back

Sprint brief, unresolved impediment list, traceable action items and review-ready progress updates.

POLICY / APPROVAL

What it cannot self-authorize

Cannot commit team members to scope, approve work, change priorities or make personnel decisions without their authorization.

Sample workflow

Product Owner sets priorities → Scrum agent summarizes scope → Developers update evidence → human Scrum Master reviews blockers.

What should be measured?

Measure accurate issue mapping, fewer stale blockers and reductions in meeting preparation time. These are acceptance criteria for a proposed workflow, not published benchmark results.

Every office remains a conceptual integration pattern until tools, credentials, policies, data scope and tests are configured for a deployment. An agent's job title never grants host or cross-domain authority.
